Mimi Newcomb, or Meredith to the government and/or her mother, is a Chicago-based theatre artist who strives to create provocative, highly theatrical, and intellectually rigorous work. She specializes in music theatre, text-heavy plays, off-beat comedy, and anything that requires plenty of clever stage magic. Past collaborators would tell you she’s an evangelist for the spontaneous discoveries of the rehearsal room and handwriting your notes.

Mimi graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Theatre School at DePaul University. She earned a BFA in Theatre Arts with a minor in Chinese Language. During her time at DePaul, she was honored with the 2025-2026 Dr. Dominic G. & Helen T. Parisi Endowed Scholarship at The Theatre School and was an active participant in the Honors Program.
